Arthritis is sometimes called a hidden disability. Other people may not be able to see it, but it can have a big impact on your life. You may find some everyday tasks and activities challenging. Living with pain, fatigue and frustration can also affect your mood and put strain on your relationships.
We understand. Arthritis can be very difficult to live with. But the good news is that it doesn’t have to be that way. With some practical and emotional support, you can get on with doing the things you want to do.
That’s where Vitality Home Health comes in. We can help you stay independent and live a full, active life. Whether you’re living with osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis or another type, our support is always completely personalised to you and your needs.
What we offer for arthritis sufferers
Expert care
Our care is GP-led and our professional caregivers are highly trained and experienced in understanding and supporting people with arthritis.
A tailored programme of activity and nutrition
Having a healthy diet and getting active can help you manage your condition well so our GP and expert caregivers will support you with diet and exercise. We’ll develop a plan that’s easy for you to follow.
A review of your treatment
Our GP can look at the medication you’ve been prescribed, and other treatments that have been recommended. We can check how these are supporting you and work with other members of your healthcare team to make sure you’re taking the right medicines at the right doses for you. And if you need any help with getting into a routine with your medication, we can support you with that too.
Practical support
Are you finding you’re slower with some of your everyday tasks? We’re here to help you with them, so you can get on with the things you really want to do. Just let us know what you need.
Emotional support
Our carers will always be happy to sit and have a chat, listen to how you’re feeling and suggest things you can do to help you come back into balance.
