Yesterday, Nanna and Ellen made their way up to London to the Home Cares Got Talent at The Reubens Palace Hotel.
Nerves were certainly starting to build. We were met by the Event Team and ushered through to make up for the pre event interviews. Both Nanna and Ellen began to settle once the first interview was over and then it was off to the Green Room with all the other competitors.
There was a plethora of talent from a Belly Dancer to a Majorette duo, singers and bands with a dancer describing his experience during the Pandemic. A real mix of very talented people, all with a common theme, they all worked within the Care Industry.
Nanna went first with her band the Herbie Green Trio, which consisted of Ritchie on Bass and Danny on Lead Guitar, they performed How Glad am I. Shortly after, Ellen was up, singing Don’t Cry For Me Argentina. They both wowed the panel and the rest of the competitors who could just hear the audition.
Then it was deliberation time, where Cheryl and Jay from Bucks Fizz were “Making their Mind Up” (thanks Ritchie).
Suddenly, names were called and the majority of the room were taken into another room! Then 6 people were called into the audition room and were congratulated as they had succeeded in the London Regional semi final and were invited to the Grand Final in York on the 8th August 2024!
Ellen and Nanna, absolutely smashed the audition and we at Vitality Home Health are incredibly proud of their achievement and we are all so excited for them in the Final.
There are 4 other Regional Semi Finals: Midlands, Manchester, York and Glasgow.
