Talking Gardens of Kent

Yesterday saw Vitality Home Health and the Hospices of Hope join together to present the first of the Talking Gardens of Kent events.

We saw over 50 people gather together for a guided tour of The St Clere Estate, followed by a buffet lunch, followed by the Founder of The Elleanor Hospice and the Hospices of Hope Graham Perrolls, talking about where it all began and how far the Hospices of Hope have come.

Despite, the weather being a little chilly, the rain held off and we enjoyed a guided tour of the gardens by the Head Gardener, who is responsible for all the upkeep of the beautiful gardens and house which stands proudly amongst the countryside of Kent.

People came from far and wide to learn about The St Clere Estate.

We certainly were not amongst strangers as we met some local people whom Vitality had provided Live in Care to from the Gravesend office, and Tina our Field Care Supervisor from the Sevenoaks office bumped into several locals.

We finished the event by handing out Vitality Goodie Bags and looking forward to the next two events: Reuthe’s, The Lost Gardens of Sevenoaks on 16th May 2024 13:30 and finally The World Garden in Lullingstone Castle on the 18th June 2024 13:30.

This was a special event, full of people who have one thing in common, the desire to give and support the most vulnerable of people, whether they are in Ukraine, Romania or here in the UK. It was a smashing afternoon, thoroughly enjoyable and we are certainly looking forward to the next one.

See you there!!
